First of all I would like to apologise for not posting much lately but since Nova tramatic birth on Saturday and since, it’s not been easy 😔

First of all I would like to say Happy 2nd Birthday to Madison’s first litter Nixie, Naps, Nala, Nila and Nova. .. a happy 2nd birthday!…I have a HUGE birthday surprise for you all! I’ve been keeping a MASSIVE secret regarding Nova …who yesterday, after a nightmare time, finally gave birth to six beautiful kittens! Nova had been contracting for over 2 hours but no kittens had arrived, so we was advised to take her to the Queen Mother’s hospital. After tests, bloods and scans the kittens were all confirmed ok but they wanted to operate and give her a cesarean. We disagreed and asked for an oxytocin injection. Thank goodness it was the right decision because when we arrived back at the hospital, she had delivered 2 kittens! We was told that we needed to take Nova home as she was stressed. They administrated another oxytocin injection and we left. I sat in the back of the car with Nova in her carrier and the two newborn kittens were in a duvet bed I brought to keep them warm. 5 minutes into the journey home Nova gave birth to a kitten! Luckily we could pull over at the stage, I broke the sac, rub the kitten, tied and cut the umbilical cord, kitten 3 was fine. We set off again, 10 minutes on the motorway, with no way of stopping, Nova decided to deliver a fourth kitten! Simon driving, me in the back with interior light on, again I tied and cut the umbilical cord but in a moving car! It was so stressful!! We finally got home with four kittens all ok…phew. 20 minutes later number 5 kitten arrived and then another 30 minutes later kitten 6 but the placenta wasnt attached! After another 20 minutes of worrying, Nova finally deliver the placenta…again phew!… All in all it was one of the most stressful day we have ever had but we are pleased to announce Nova and the 6 kittens are doing well.
We want to say a huge thank you to Gwen after taking numerous question over the phone and advising us continuously. And to Ann (mother of Norman de Solafre) for one supplying Norman! and two for being so concerned and caring.
